I graduated with a degree in fine arts and photography, but wanted to learn something new where I could create pieces with my hands. I love that there are infinite ways to create a jewelry piece through process and material. Rock Salt Vintage began as an assemblage of found objects and vintage jewelry, but has evolved to represent handmade gemstone and metal jewelry.

Went a little fern crazy. I collected my favorite ferns on hikes, pressed them between journal pages, brought them back to my studio and used the leaves to create an exact likeness. Broke too many saw blades sawing each of these out by hand. I just wanted a pair to wear and I couldn’t stop collecting and sawing out leaves (until I ran out of blades). Considering a shop update this week. Small but it’s a start, I’ve been away from the studio for months and it’s been a struggle to get back to it. There’s some creative block mixed in too. Anyway, proud of myself for actually getting these made… for me.
