For the next few months I will be doing a special “SUNDAY SCHOOL OF ROCK” series, in addition to my regular “School of Rock” where I will feature a different crystal from the Bible every Sunday and explain what it was used for both in biblical times as well as it’s uses today💜✝️💎🙏🏼

A lot of people think the use of Crystals in religion is “New age” spirituality but our ancestors have been using crystals as spiritual tools since the beginning of time!

This weeks Sunday crystal will be AMETHYST 💎💜✝️

Amethyst is actually mentioned multiple times in the Bible and was the stone used in Aaron’s breastplate to represent the tribe of Issachar. A different stone was set into Aaron’s breastplate for each of the 12 tribes and each stone was carefully chosen by Moses!

In biblical times, amethyst was believed to prevent “intoxication”… On the surface we may think of intoxication as simple drunkenness however people under spiritual attack were often falsely accused of drunkenness in these times, leading many biblical scholars to the conclusion that amethyst was used by high ranking men of the church to keep their minds free from possession by demons and other spiritual warfare. It was considered very precious and was found in the treasures of Kings as well as used to adorn the walls of “New Jerusalem” or “heaven” on Earth meaning their use was commanded by God himself!! 💜✝️💎

Today we use amethyst in a very similar way, it is the stone of the third eye and is believed to help with mental clarity as well as being a very powerful protective stone, especially in matters of the mind. It protects against spiritual attacks and can help enhance visions and downloads.

I hope you enjoy this series! I’m very excited to share it with you guys and help dispel some of the stigma that the use of crystals and other spiritual tools have gotten recently!

School of Rock is now in session! 🤓📚💎

Today’s school of rock session will be about Moldavite!

Moldavite has been trending on social media for years now but did you know that it’s a tektite? Tektites are a type of glass that are formed when molten debris from meteorites strikes hit the earth. Tektites are different from typical obsidians found on earth because they are completely glassy and lack any microlites or phenocrysts, unlike terrestrial volcanic glasses.

There is only an estimated 200 tons of Moldavite on the planet and the mining practices are widely UNETHICAL and absolutely NOT sustainable. To put this in perspective, the earth has an estimated 50k tons of quartz available, some singly mined quartz pieces weighing as much as 40 tons by themselves!!

Not only is moldavite NOT a sustainable product, there have been many reports of violence during illegal mining attempts as well as devastating destruction to the environment and ecosystems surrounding the mining of Moldavite.

Moldavite is a great reminder that just because something is trending does NOT make it ethical or give us a right to have it.

The spiritual community has a responsibility to take care of the planet and its resources so that they will be available for generations to come. We have failed so far but hopefully with more education and compassion we can come together and put an end to dangerous and destructive practices like Moldavite mining 💎

The “School of Rock” is officially in session!

Lesson #1 will be the ever popular but almost always INCORRECTLY named, Banded Calcite!

Contrary to popular belief this is NOT onyx of any type but actually is calcite that forms when calcium carbonate precipitates (separates out) from a solution of dissolved calcium carbonate and ground water. The calcium carbonate is deposited within a large opening or fissure in the mother rock and parallel bands are created as additional calcium carbonate precipitates. 🫶🏼
