Scrolling Facebook today, I discovered Wichita Police are wearing pink badges for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

And just like magic… one shows up in front of Tim’s camera at Sparkle Jewelry. 😉✨

Had to give this one its close-up. A beautiful badge with a meaning that goes well beyond the shine—support for those fighting, celebration for survivors, and remembrance of those we’ve lost. 💗

Decades of wear. Multiple sizings. One broken band. But this ring’s story wasn’t over yet. 💍

Over the years, the shank—the bottom of the band—had worn thin and finally broken. A trip to Sparkle Jewelry gave it a fresh start: we replaced the worn section with a new shank and got it back on the customer’s finger, where it belongs.

Some rings mean more to their owners than anyone else could ever know. Those are stories worth keeping going. ✨

Sometimes earning someone’s trust starts with a watch. ⌚

This gentleman has been coming to us for a while, and after we’d taken care of his watch a few times, he decided to bring us something a little more important…

His wife’s wedding ring. 💍

It had been well-loved and well-worn, and he wanted to see what we could do to bring that bright white finish back.

A good cleaning, some careful bench work, and fresh rhodium later… I’d say we understood the assignment. 😎✨

There’s just something satisfying about making a piece that means this much to someone look beautiful again.

Not gonna lie—Team Sparkle knocked this one out of the park. 💎

There’s something happening to the jewelry business that most people haven’t noticed yet. 👀

There are plenty of places to buy jewelry.

But finding someone who can actually work on it? That’s becoming a very different story.

And when you’re handing someone your engagement ring, a family heirloom, or a watch worth thousands of dollars, there’s one question you probably ought to ask:

“Who is actually going to work on this?”

The jewelry store of the future might look a lot more like the jewelry store of the past.

Less showroom. More workshop.

For years, jewelry stores got bigger, shinier and more focused on selling things from a case. Meanwhile, the person who could actually size your ring, rebuild your prongs, restore your grandmother's jewelry or make something from scratch became harder and harder to find.

I think that's starting to change.

I wrote a little about where I think the jewelry business is headed—and strangely enough, the future might look a whole lot like what we're already doing at Sparkle.

Apparently even jewelers need a day off. Who knew? 😂💎

Sparkle Jewelry is CLOSED today while we practice the fine art of doing absolutely nothing work-related.

Monday? We’re always closed. We’ve been training for that one all year. 😎

We’ll be back Tuesday hopefully rested, probably caffeinated, and ready to get back at it.
