Hi! I missed you!! 🫂

So turns out burnout is real! And instead of letting myself burn completely, I decided to just take a few steps back. It took me about four months to even think about sitting down at my bench again, another six to take that seat, and then another six or seven to actually feel excited about it. Eventually, when it was right, that sparkle started to come back and I can earnestly say my life feels more complete with this toiling and rewarding and beautiful craft in it.

My time away was well spent, even if the fruits weren’t tangible.
I took deep, deeeep breaths. I enjoyed exactly where I am. I worried and panicked. I traveled. I fell very much in love with my solitude. I looked up. I felt down. I found more gratitude. I got to hug old friends. I tried new things. I cried tons. I laughed even more. I got very okay with change. I worked on patience. I rode the waves. I let things go. I started chipping away at my wall. I learned a lot a lot a lot about who I am.
And I am still learning how to get my foot off my own neck and how to get out of my own way.

Moving forward things will probably look different as I choose to remove pressure and use this more as an outlet to find play and creativity again all while continuing to figure out who I am and where I’d like to go. I have lots of ideas, goals and dreams, as well as things I’d like to teach myself and learn. I can’t wait to bring them to life in their own time and share with you.

Anyway, here’s a compilation of some of the many things that made me feel good while I was gone. I hope some of it can do the same for you.

Thank you for giving me this space and being so kind in my absence. Let’s try all this again and see it through, whatever it’ll look like, shall we? 💕
