The tent weight solution I wanted to love...
I thought water bags were going to be the perfect addition to our market vendor setup.
And honestly, they solved a lot of problems.
✅ Lightweight to transport
✅ Compact when empty
✅ Easy to fit into an already packed vehicle
✅ A simple way to add extra tent weight when a windy weekend is in the forecast
Then we tried them.
💧 They had to be filled before setup
🛒 I still needed a cart once they were full
💧 They had to be packed away wet at the end of the day
💧 Mine developed a leak
At the end of the day, I'm still on the fence about them.
They're not my first choice, but I can absolutely see why other market vendors use them. When you need extra tent weight without hauling around permanent weights all the time, they can make a lot of sense.
Would I use them again?
Maybe.
I might try another brand. I might try the same brand again and chalk the leak up to bad luck. Who knows.
Seventeen years of markets has mostly been a process of trying things, keeping what works, and learning from what doesn't.
