There’s a new kid on the block in Milton, and I couldn’t be more excited. Monsterful, described as a shop full of curated art and curiosities, has taken over the Broadkill Tattoo Co. space. I had the pleasure of connecting with the owner, Memo, and learning his story. His background is as interesting as his shop. He’s an artist and interior designer who previously worked in the fashion industry, has lived in Texas and NYC, and ultimately fell in love with Delaware. We’re all lucky he did.
I’ve always been someone who loves to collect and surround myself with things I truly love. I’m a big believer in a layered, lived in home built slowly over time. The best homes are never truly finished, which is why I’m always popping into our local antique shops. But it’s been a while since I’ve felt the excitement of a true treasure hunt, and Monsterful brings something fresh to the vintage and antique scene.
Walking into Monsterful feels like stepping into someone’s home, with the kind of host who makes you want to stay awhile. Memo immediately offered beer, wine, or LaCroix to enjoy while I shopped. With so many small businesses closing their doors lately, it’s refreshing to see something new come to life here. I’ll always prefer shopping in person over online, so I’m especially grateful to Memo for keeping that experience alive.
Nothing brings me more joy than seeing my little hometown thrive, and shops like this are what continue to make it special and charming. Thank you for making treasure hunting exciting again. 💫
