The Southport, NC Fourth of July Festival runs from June 26 – July 4, 2026, celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.

Did you know? Southport's Fourth of July celebration was first recorded in a newspaper way back in 1795, making it one of the nation's longest-running Independence Day traditions!

This year's festival will feature plenty of fresh local seafood, classic Southern barbecue, and festival favorites that perfectly capture Southport's coastal charm.

Today is ONE WEEK UNTIL the Mardi Gras Parade and Festival!!!!

The Parade starts at 11:00 AM near SE 64th Street (heading West down Oak Island Drive) -- with the Festival going from NOON – 4:00 PM in the Middleton Park Complex. There will be a pet costume contest at Middleton Park at 2:00 PM located at the stage.
Make plans now to attend this fun-filled, unofficial “kick off” for the Town’s many events this year!
