Hey Folks - Just a few friendly reminders for UPG:
- Keep your valuable out of all vehicles, even those in the driveway
- Keep outside lights on all night and preferably use a photocell ($10-15) that will turn the turn the light on at dusk and off at dawn
- Make sure you car doors are locked at all times
- If your car is broken into, call the police. It doesn't matter if it was unlocked or locked or if something was stolen or not.
- If you see anything suspicious, get a good description of the person / people including clothing, height, weight, etc, as well as what they are doing an when and call the police - the non-emergency number is 654-5151 and if you don't get satisfaction, ask to speak to the Watch Supervisor. Suspicious activity includes loitering, looking in cars, looking in houses, trying to get into cars and the "ladies" that are looking for "dates with gentlemen" on Lancaster Ave.
I would rather report too much than not enough.
Whatever you do, DO NOT get involved in the situation yourself. Let the police handle it.
After you get off of the phone with the police, post a message on the UPG site and this site so everyone sees it Might also want to tag Bob Williams in it so he can escalate it if necessary.
