What if we replaced judgment with curiosity? 🤍
It’s easy to look at someone’s choices and wonder why they didn’t do things differently. Why they stayed. Why they left. Why they reacted that way. Why they didn’t just make a better decision.
But here’s the thing: You may be judging their choice without ever understanding the options they had.
You don’t always see the fear, the circumstances, the pain, the resources they lacked, or the battles they were fighting behind the scenes.
Sometimes what looks like a poor decision from the outside was someone doing the best they could with what they knew, what they had, and what they were carrying.
This doesn’t mean every choice is healthy or without consequences. It simply means there’s often more to the story than we can see.
Before assuming, get curious. Before criticizing, seek to understand. Before judging someone’s response, consider what they might be carrying.
A little curiosity can create space for a lot more compassion. 💙
