My mother, Elna Larsen, embarked on her next journey this morning, passing away peacefully in her sleep at the remarkable age of 99 3/4 years old.

Did you know that May's birthstone, emerald, sometimes contains water that is 30-60 million years old?!

Many Colombian emeralds contain three-phase inclusions consisting of liquid, a small crystal, and an air bubble. These fluids are salty water in which the emeralds grew and got trapped within the emerald crystal as it was forming. The liquid separated over time into salt crystals and gas bubbles.
