Despite the austerity of her surroundings, Lolita’s interest in jewelry and fashion was piqued at a young age; in large part by stories passed along by her grandmother of real and imagined characters who pursued adventures in search of bountiful and fantast
ic treasures. Petersburg, Russia—the cultural epicenter of Eastern Europe—where she enrolled in, and graduated from, the Petersburg School of Fashion and Crafts. Her primary interests were in the design and fabrication of clothing and jewelry. Subsequent to completing formal training, Lolita developed a following of enthusiastic patrons in St. Petersburg, where she displayed and sold one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry and accepted orders for custom-made articles of clothing. Over the years, she also enjoyed opportunities to display her creations in Greece, Spain, and Finland, in addition to her native Latvia. In late 2010, she met an American man, fell in love, and immigrated to the United States to be his bride. After spending time honing her English and becoming acculturated to her new country, she is now continuing the pursuit of her artistic passions and developing new designs and ideas. Her current interests include jewelry-based art, necklace design, and fabrication of unique articles of clothing. In addition to pieces advertised for sale on this website, she accepts orders for custom jewelry and garments. She particularly enjoys designing around a theme—a season of the year, a special event, a unique feeling.
