Hi Everyone.
I’ve been a little quiet on social media - life has been throwing many adjustments (apartment fire, laid off, new job, and health issues), but that never equates to what is happening in the US/World.
When I began this art journey, I was looking for a peaceful outlet while studying social work and putting myself through college. Then this slowly turned into a business I could use to help support my family, and stay home with my baby - a privilege I don’t take for granted.
Since the beginning of creating, most of my art was created with the mission of educating my cultural background through art, empowering women and individuals, all while focusing heavily on social justice.
Through this, I have always wanted to stay rooted in community change. It’s hard and overwhelming to try to attempt to make change at a bigger level, do not stress yourself if you cannot commit to that. There’s ways to bring hope to yourself and your community through these hard times.
If you feel as though you need resources, please reach out. I will do my best to connect you and advocate for you, if needed!
If you want to browse resources or community events yourself, I will have it all labeled in my *story highlights* for easy access. I will share events happening closer to Washtenaw County, but also throughout Michigan.
I will keep making art and sharing events I will be at. Please stop in and chat for a bit, but I will soon have opportunities to join in fundraising through social justice/art!
Remember, Art is resistance. Be resilient.
Keep creating. Stay connected. Take care of yourself. We will get through this together! ❤️🩹
