Well what a delight yesterday turned out to be!

First off, a private workshop for an utterly gorgeous family from the Peak District. Sarah had been harbouring this beautiful heart shaped seaglass for over 3 years and finally got to make a ring with it. Then she gold plated her silver with 14ct gold and ta-da - here’s the finished article!

I had the loveliest group of 6 in today for seaglass ring and pendant making - a good way to keep out of the midday sun!

I’ve added a few more dates for August but have some slots available for private group bookings too. A perfect way to spend a few hours making something lovely!

Gemma brought this signet ring to me yesterday. She simply wanted it resizing from a size U to a size F but try as she might, nobody would touch it, instead offering full remodelling.

The engravings were important to her and she wanted to wear her grandfather’s ring as it was. She brought it to me and here it is, with all the original details retained but in a size which fits her pinky.

A lovely commission just completed for Sally. Oh I do love working with gold! And sparklies!

This incredible 1ct diamond was sat in a jewellery box for 20 years, in an old gold ring, housed in a white gold collet.

Sally wanted a simple yellow gold pendant. I used the gold from the ring to make the bail and the pendant, and flush set this beautiful diamond right into it.

The leftover gold is going towards another commission which Sally has given me free rein on. Watch out Sally - I’m thinking Mr T….

For the past 12 years, I’ve often found myself wondering what to do with the ashes of our first born. It’s such a personal thing, and over time I realised I’m probably not alone in feeling that uncertainty.

That’s why I feel both honoured and incredibly proud to offer my small group Memorial Keepsake Jewellery Workshops — a chance to create your own beautiful silver keepsake to hold the memory of someone special, whether human or beloved pet.

With just 4 people per workshop, these sessions are designed to be calm, supportive and personal. You’ll design your own piece of jewellery before learning how to sandcast it in silver, carefully incorporating ashes and sealing them with crushed opal and jeweller’s resin.

There are just a few spaces remaining this year:

I have a special, brand new workshop, making a trio of seaglass Sea Treasure Necklace, on Saturday 19th September.

You’ll bezel set three special pieces of seaglass, learn to make a toggle clasp and will bring it all together with a chain and handmade findings to sit perfectly on your décolletage.

I have 2 special workshops coming up with unique offerings that I don’t think are currently available anywhere else.

Saturday 27th June: An opportunity to learn several skills and combine them altogether to create a beautiful, sand cast gemstone ring with a tube set gem of your choice.

Sunday 5th July: Memory workshop - a very unique opportunity to make your own piece of memorial jewellery, using ashes or hair, to design your own ring or pendant and cast it by hand into silver (gold options are available - please message me for cost for 9ct or 18ct gold). You’ll then secure the memory of your loved one, whether human or pet, in your choice of crushed stone and high quality, durable jewellers resin.
