As many of you know, I’ve been on a bit of a wild adventure into the world of criminology. Somewhere between theories of crime, social inequality, deviance, criminal justice systems and enough academic reading to stun a small elephant, I’ve had to pour a huge amount of my mental energy into getting my studies right.

The plan? Finish my degree in the next two years, then move on to a Master’s, followed by a PhD. Eight years in total. Apparently I looked at a normal hobby and thought, ā€œNo, I’d rather voluntarily analyse crime and human behaviour for the better part of a decade.ā€ šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚

But while I’ve been busy trying to understand why people break society’s rules, I’ve really missed the people who make my little business community what it is. I’ve missed the chats, the lives, the lucky dips, the excitement of creating new products, and most importantly, all of you.

The truth is, as much as I love the intellectual challenge of criminology, sometimes you need a break from analysing crime, power, inequality and human suffering. Sometimes you just need glitter, crafts, horses, ducky bonuses and a website full of fun things that make people smile. šŸ˜†

So I’m hoping to spend more time on Big Blue Saff again, bring you some fantastic offers, and reconnect with the customers who have supported me throughout this journey.

Thank you for sticking around while I disappear into academic rabbit holes. I promise I haven’t forgotten you all. In fact, I suspect I need Big Blue Saff just as much as Big Blue Saff needs me.

Miss you all ###

Sunday is such a strange little social experiment.

One minute you’re deep-cleaning the kitchen like you’re preparing for a royal inspection, the next you’re staring into the fridge contemplating every life decision that brought you to half a cucumber and emotional damage.

There’s something weirdly therapeutic about resetting the house though. Fresh bedding. Hoover lines on the carpet. Candles lit. Washing folded approximately 3-5 business days after drying. Suddenly you believe in yourself again.

And while you’re preparing for the week ahead — planners out, goals reset, pretending this will finally be the week you drink enough water — don’t forget to reflect on the week just gone too.

What worked?
What didn’t?
Who tested your patience enough to deserve a TED Talk about it?

Sundays are basically maintenance mode for adults. A soft reboot with snacks.

Anyway… while you’re resetting your life for the 47th Sunday in a row, don’t forget to grab your goodies from www.bigbluesaff.com because if we’re spiralling into another week, we may as well do it properly.

There’s something quietly powerful about being alone—not lonely, just… still. It’s in those moments you actually hear yourself think. You notice what you’ve been avoiding, what you’ve been carrying, and what you’re ready to let go of.

Reflection isn’t always comfortable, but it’s where growth lives. Every lesson, every misstep, every win—it all shapes you, if you’re willing to pay attention. Stay open to learning, even when it humbles you. Especially then.

And while you’re figuring yourself out, don’t forget the people who’ve stood beside you. The ones who check in, who listen, who show up without needing a reason. Love them out loud. Life moves fast, and connection is what gives it weight.

Be still. Stay curious. Stay humble. And hold your people close.
