About Us

EarthRings is first and foremost a family business.

Awie & Martie Potgieter are the core of our team.

Awie and Martie have been married for 18 years and have a teenage son and daughter.

They live in sunny South Africa.

Awie is a metallurgical engineer and entertains his adventurous and creative side with his hobbies, leather work and bush craft.

Martie is a work from home, mom and serial hobbyist. For the last couple of years, her main pastime have been woodwork, creating furniture and decor from reclaimed wood and other materials. It is during this time that she started making rings and other jewelry as well.

The interest in her handcrafted rings exceeded their expectations and soon Awie realised that “the hobby” needed support and guidance and EarthRings – the business was born.
