With well over thirty years of experience in our field, we offer a relaxed and professional service regarding all aspects of jewellery, whether it be in antique pieces, or pieces handmade to our clients specifications & requirements by our highly skilled workshops, done under our personal supervision. We also supply diamonds and all other coloured gemstones and offer a valuation service on all pieces bought from us. We also refurbish, clean and polish jewellery and offer restringing of pearls as part of our service. The business is personally run by the owners, Pieter & Manuel, and personal attention to detail is our priority at all times. Our stock is a reflection of our own taste and we do not always strictly stick to only dealing in jewellery and silver, but if anything related comes our way we are happy to include that in our inventory, e.g. After hours consultation by appointment most welcome by prior arrangement.

A traveling clock in a leather covered stand, which is mounted with a repoussé silver front. The watch itself has a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals & a subsidiary seconds dial at the six o'clock position, with a gilded ring around the dial under the glass, and the watch itself has a nickel case. It has the original bevelled glass (no chips to the edge) and is in working order. The watch itself has a diameter of 61mm. The silver front is hallmarked Birmingham 1903. The outer case: 115mm high x 100mm high & 34mm in thickness. Price: R4 850.

A silver pendant that opens, holding a removable ball inside, which gently chimes as it moves. The pendant is set with a 3mm cabochon amethyst & a 3mm peridot. The ball is 14mm in diameter, and the pendant measures 38mm top to bottom when closed. It can be worn around the neck on a chain, or could also work well on a charm bracelet. Price: R650.

A French made, open face silver pocketwatch, dating from c.1860. The watch is key winding & comes with two keys, one for winding the main spring, and the second for setting the hands to the correct time. The enamel dial, which has no cracks, chips or any losses at all, has black Roman numerals, with a subsidiary small dial indicating running seconds at the 6 o'clock position. The case diameter is 48mm, and the bow link stands a further 18mm from the case edge. An unusual feature of this watch is that it has it's period original bulls' eye glass, with a polished flat round surface at the center. (Most watches of this period have had the original glass broken & replaced by modern, slighly domed glass or synthetic plexi glass.) The watch has been serviced and runs and keeps time correctly. A 1930's Lord Elgin men's wristwatch, made by the Elgin Watch Co, based in Elgin, Illinois. The rectangular 14ct rolled gold case, with stylized flared corners, measures 38mm high x 25mm wide. Fitted with a 21 jewel manual winding movement. In overall very good condition, given it's age. P.O.A.

A modern, manual winding pocketwatch by Woodford, in a hallmarked English silver half hunter case, c.2000. The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals & a small subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'cock, fitted with black steel hands, decorated with fine scrolls. Case diameter: 49mm, excluding the crown & bow. Price: R13 850.

Two decanter in hand blown glass. The glug-glug decanter on the left is 25cm high & has it's orignal crown shaped stopper, designed by Jacob E. Bang for Holmegaard or Kastrup of Denmark, c.1950. Price: R2 650.
The decanter on the right is 24cm high. (Not marked, but likely also Scandinavian) Price: R950.
Both are in good condition.

A handsome, stainless steel automatic, model & case style named Capeland, chronograph wristwatch with calendar, by Baume & Mercier of Geneve, Switzerland, c.1990. Fitted with a high grade, caliber 7750 Valjoux automatic movement. (The later Capeland Cronographs are fitted with a lower grade, generic ETA movement.) The case and dial, which has black Breguet numerals, is in excellent condition, and the movement is in full working order. The slightly domed sapphire crystal is original and also in perfect condition. Case size: 40mm in diameter, by 16mm high. The screw-down crown is original, with Baume Mercier logo, and the watch is fitted onto a crocodile leather strap. The original Baume Mercier deployment buckle is inculded. For a wristwatch of approx. 30+ years old, this one is in remarkably good condition, showing no scuffs or scratches anywhere on the case nor on the sapphire crystal glass. Price:R69 950.
