My commitment and passion is to assist professionals and business owners in their chosen fields through coaching and mentorship. I have been an investment banker for 18 years including being CEO of a multibillion rand card business. Early in my banking years I experienced feelings of inadequacy, not being good enough, constant worry and stress about not fitting in, lack of self confidence and self
esteem, anxiety about being sidelined on vital business decisions and execution of mega transactions, as well as unrelenting pressure to prove my worth. Quite often I encountered crossroads in my career as I created more and more of these distressing feelings. My passion and drive to be a complete and perspicacious investment banker coupled with coaching and mentoring provided me with the required resilience which resulted in a successful and fulfilling banking career that lasted for almost two decades with one organization. The reality is, when one assumes a profession or starts a business the intentions are pure, underpinned with possibilities of prosperity, thriving, progress and ultimate success in the chosen field. This grand vision is short lived as soon as feelings of frustration, self-doubt, struggle and pain set in. The good thing is, these feelings can be controlled, altered and transformed through coaching and mentoring, allowing envisioned intentions and purpose to be a reality. Many professionals and business owners go through careers and manage businesses without enough support, coaching and mentorship leading to disillusions. Professionals should not be walking away from chosen fields because of lack of support and limited views. A career should be the most fulfilling and meaningful component of one’s life journey. It should, therefore be supported by career pillars of appropriate coaching, mentoring, nurturing and guidance. I am determined to assist professionals in unlocking inherent potential in their chosen careers and allow an experience of light-hearted joy in their professional journeys. It is my yearning to witness a thriving small medium enterprise sector in my country. Coaching and supporting business owners in fulfilling their business aspirations is my resolve. In most instances, business owners are close to the weaving making it difficult to see the tapestry that unfolds. Through business coaching, realistic business perspectives and key business drivers are unlocked. This helps in guiding the business owner with fundamental elements that could enhance the business and assist in taking objective informed decisions.
