The journey can start with inspiration from a single aspect of design.

In this case, texture. My favourite! My client really loved this beaten texture of the top rings and the pairing of that with the polished overlaying round wire. The bottom image is a rough idea of how we envisioned his ring.

There is often more than one way to achieve the same look. Using wax and carving the beaten texture allows me to have more control over the end size and measurements of the ring without compromising on the look.

The client wanted a bit of bling added so I sunk some holes to accommodate these 3 beautiful lab grown diamonds.

I fitted the bands after the ring had been cast. Originally I had added wax wire around the ring to cast it all in one piece but it created problems with the investment stage of casting and the ring didn’t make it😭 so I had to start all over again.

This is the end result, stunning texture and contrast between the oxidised hollows and the polished wire bands and peaks of the carving. I love how the diamonds look as well. And Karen makes an appearance too in case anyone has been missing her!!

I’m in love with this ruby zoisite, what a mouth watering colour combination🤤
I love the ones with more green but I think the ones with more purple are calling to be made first! I might also upgrade the centre stone from peridot to a green tourmaline for a richer colour…stay tuned for the final result!!
