Quality alone isn’t enough anymore.

Customers want reassurance, transparency, and confidence in the gemstones they’re purchasing.

That’s why we created Gem Lab Approved.

“Gem Lab Approved” signals that a gemstone has undergone independent assessment by The Gem Lab, helping jewellers demonstrate their commitment to quality, authenticity, and professional standards.

For retailers, it offers an additional layer of credibility, and for customers, it provides greater peace of mind. On top of that, it creates a powerful point of differentiation for your business in an increasingly competitive market.

Our coloured stone reports relate to price. The most important grade is the colour. We then deduct points for everything affecting the beauty of the stone from the colour grade until you reach the final grade which relates to price. If you look at the colour grade and the final grade is lower then there have been some deductions. For more info on the ICSL coloured stone grading system go to our website www.gemlab.co.za. The grades are in percentages.
