"Strong's H1288 - barak
The Hebrew word "barak" means to bless or to kneel. So, the translation can mean to kneel before a person and to bless them. Blessing comes from a humble position of heart and body. Can you imagine how it would feel if your parents were to kneel down before you and wash your feet? Can you imagine how it would feel if they spoke loving words and Scripture over you? Some might know this feeling, others long to know it. This is what we can give to our children. An example of Christ's unselfish love. When you bless someone, you empower them to prosper in all parts of life."
An excerpt from the book Knit Together, chapter- The power of blessing, Seven critical times to receive a spoken blessing in your life.
