Some of the most beautiful friendships begin in the most unexpected ways. ❤️

Many years ago, I advertised for someone to work with me at the House & Garden Show. Ang applied, came into my business, and what started as a work opportunity turned into something so much more.

She helped me at countless events, and my customers have loved her. In between our conversations, laughter and jewellery, a beautiful friendship blossomed.

Today, she lives in Hermanus, and I get to see her whenever she comes to Durban. Special times but they remind me just how much I miss her!

And she never stops supporting me....walked straight into Willow Wildgrube yesterday and bought this gorgeous coral purse. Also sporting my earrings. Oh isn't she gorgeous!!

Six-ish weeks to go until our family head to CPT for Sarahan Brophy 50th birthday celebration....we will be doing Deli2Sea - a15km run from Constantia to Kalk Bay (I mean, HOW stunning will that route be?!) 🏃‍♀️🌊🥂💗

And apparently, the harder I run, the more my face matches my pink earbuds AND my nails. 😂💗🎧💅🏼 (swipe right)

Sometimes, an idea needs a little space before it needs an audience.

The moment you share it, everyone has an opinion. They’ll tell you why it won’t work, what they would do differently, or why it’s been done before. And suddenly, you find yourself questioning something you were once excited about.

I remember that feeling of everyone around me thinking I had lost the plot when I opened my store in Umhlanga centre just as the country went into lockdown. I went ahead with my decision anyway and it was the best one for my business at that time🎉

And that’s the beauty of having a space where you can think out loud. A coaching session is confidential, so you can share the idea you’re not quite ready to tell the world about, work through the doubts and figure out your next step without worrying about what anyone else might think. I've had the privilege of being on the receiving end of so many clients who have shared their dreams, goals, career moves and new business opportunities with me. We throw ideas around, explore possibilities, question things and quite often get super excited about what could be!
