Clyde on 4th Antiques Fine antiques & collectables in South Africa - Georgian to Art Deco. Hallmarked silver Royal Albert. We buy & value.

Clyde Terry opened his new shop, Clyde on 4th, in Johannesburg twenty years ago. The shop set in a quaint old Melville residence soon took on a charm of its own. Clyde who has a keen eye for the unusual and a love for English china, silver and pottery soon established himself in Johannesburg after relocating from Durban. The main objective of Clyde on 4th, is to provide a haven for collectors collecting Georgian, Art Nouveau, Art-Deco and 1950's objects.Clyde takes pride in trying to help collectors to find what they are looking for and has helped to add to many fine collections world wide.As a child Clyde would always be in Antique shops and at auction sales where a strong foundation was set by the fine shops that were to be found in his home town. If you are a keen collector or are looking for a missing piece from a dinner service or the like be sure to fill in the collectors advice form as Clyde will endeavor to assist you, saving you his very best personalised attention. In addition to running his business in Melville he recently took over the running of South Africa's longest running Collectables fair, the Sandton Sun, and relocated it to the Sandton Square, South Africa's most prestigious shopping mall.
