Apprenticeship Programme – Sivan’s school for previously disadvantaged individuals interested in jewellery design and craftsmanship who are responsible for conceptualising and creating Sivana Diamonds’ Earth jewellery collection. In addition to the Earth jewellery collection, Sivana Diamonds offers distinctive and exclusive jewellery collections that boast diamonds and investment stones. This company is an amalgamation of Sid Forman’s grandson, Trent Gaddin and Sivan Finhasi who have come together to not only create a high end, fashionable brand but a skills development opportunity for South African designers and craftsmen. The apprentice programme, is a unique initiative which focuses on skills and design training. This programme trains a number of students annually with the aim to create a new generation of master craftsman as a means of creating a new post-apartheid South Africa. Experts in the trade work closely with the students, shaping their raw talent into true brilliance. This training can take between 2 – 5 years, and thus demands long-term commitment in both the art of craftsmanship and the future of the student.
