Home Affairs Minister Dr Leon Schreiber has declined to reveal how many Members of Parliament hold dual citizenship or became South African citizens through naturalisation.

The information was requested by ATM leader Vuyo Zungula, who asked how many MPs have citizenship of another country or were not born in South Africa.

However, Home Affairs said it was unable to provide the information.

The response has sparked debate about transparency and whether the citizenship status of elected public representatives should be made public.

COMMISSIONER REVEALS DETAILS BEHIND NHLAMULO STABBING DEATH

According to Western Cape police, 19-year-old Nhlamulo Sambo and his 15-year-old friend were caught in a shack in KwaNonqaba, Mossel Bay, on 31 May 2026. The owner wasn’t home initially; they were taking items.

The owner returned, confronted them, the 15-year-old hid under the bed, and the owner chased and stabbed Nhlamulo to death during the altercation.

Police describe it as a burglary gone wrong leading to a fatal confrontation, not linked to the anti-immigration/xenophobic protests happening in the area at the time. They are still looking for the suspect (the shack owner).

Family claims Nhlamulo was sleeping at a friend’s place, dragged out, and killed because he spoke Xitsonga (Tsonga) and was mistaken for a foreigner amid the unrest in a Xhosa-speaking community. His mother has also spoken publicly.

🚨 "WE CANNOT TAKE THE LAW INTO OUR OWN HANDS." 🚨

President Cyril Ramaphosa has officially spoken out on the ongoing 'March & March' protests, illegal immigration, and the recent looting of foreign-owned shops across South Africa. While the government acknowledges the deep frustration regarding undocumented migrants, the state insists that citizens must respect the rule of law.But communities are saying they are tired of waiting.Let’s debate it in the comments: Is the government doing enough to address illegal migration, or are citizens justified in taking action? 👇🏾🇿🇦

The cracks are officially showing in Xenoville. Grab some 🍿

Nobody wants to take ownership of June 30th anymore, and the blame game has officially begun.

In recent interviews, Jacinta, Ngizwe, and Phakelumthakathi have been busy contradicting each other.

When asked who is responsible if things go south and lives are lost during the June 30 protests, Jacinta completely distanced "March and March" from the event. She further added that Ngizwe and Phakela aren't even part of the organization, they are just people with "similar ideas."

But wait... Ngizwe is singing a completely different tune! In a separate interview, he insisted that he and Phakelumthakathi are part of March and March... but they aren't taking any responsibility for violence on June 30 either. 🤷‍♂️

The contradictions are absolutely wild.

R3.5 MILLION COUNTERFEIT ALCOHOL BUST — Chinese National Arrested in Eerste River

A Chinese national has been arrested in Eerste River, Western Cape, after police discovered suspected counterfeit alcohol worth R3.5 million at his premises.

Authorities believe the massive stash was intended for export. This comes as South Africans grow increasingly frustrated with foreign nationals involved in large-scale criminal enterprises — from fake goods flooding the market to undermining local businesses and endangering public health.

Another day, another major bust highlighting the scale of illicit operations in the country.

"TRUMP CUT FUNDING & NOW WE'RE OVERWHELMED" — Home Affairs Admits Total Chaos in Asylum System

A senior Home Affairs official Adv. Zilpha has blamed Donald Trump’s funding cuts to UNHCR for South Africa’s massive asylum backlog.

The official shockingly admitted: “We don’t have systems to find where asylum seekers live.” They are now begging for 5 dedicated courts just to handle judicial reviews.

While South Africans are protesting daily over illegal immigration, crime, and job losses, the department is openly confessing it has no clue where many asylum seekers are — and is struggling badly because foreign funding dried up.
