BLUE SADDLE RESIDENTS AND FRIENDS
We need your help! ❤️
One of our own, Alexia, is fighting cancer, and we would like to rally together as a community to support her and her family during this difficult time.
We will be hosting a Cupcakes for Alexia morning at the clubhouse on 14 November, following the same wonderful concept as our annual Cancer for Cupcakes initiative.
🧁 How can you help?
We are calling on our residents to bake and donate cupcakes, which will be sold on the morning to raise funds for Alexia.
Every cupcake sold, every donation and every helping hand will make a difference.
All proceeds will go directly towards supporting Alexia and her family.
Let's show what makes Blue Saddle Ranches special, a community that stands together when one of our own needs us most.

🌿 PIELS FARM CLEAN-UP INITIATIVE

True to her word, our new ward councillor, Suzette van der Westhuizen, arrived at Piels Farm today with a large team to continue Rainbow Nation Animals clean-up initiative.
Together with, Helen, Thoko and Nomsa, they identified litter hotspots and discussed community challenges, highlighting the importance of open communication and working together.

Thank you, Suzette and your team, for walking your talk! We look forward to a positive partnership and meaningful improvements for Piels Farm.

❤️ WHEN A COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER, AMAZING THINGS HAPPEN! 🌱

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Nu-Chem CC and RTC Control Systems - Pty Ltd.for their incredible generosity in donating R7,000 towards rubbish bags for the Rainbow Nation Animals clean-up initiative at Piels Farm.

At Blue Saddle Ranches, we proudly support Rainbow Nation Animals because when we have an animal-related problem, they are our first responders. They are there when we need help, and supporting their initiatives is one way we can give back to an organisation that does so much for our community.

This initiative at Piels Farm goes beyond cleaning up litter. It teaches children to take responsibility for their environment and gives them the opportunity to make a real difference. The litter also blows into Blue Saddle Ranches and our Conservancy, so the benefits reach us all.

During one clean-up, 120 bags were filled in just 90 minutes. Imagine what we can achieve with the right support!

❤️There’s something truly special about life at Blue Saddle Ranches.

It’s watching our children grow up surrounded by wide open spaces, horses and animals, with the freedom to explore and simply enjoy being outdoors.

Our big open stands give us space to breathe, space to play and space for our animals to be part of everyday life. There is something magical about seeing a child reach out to a horse at the fence and watching that gentle connection happen naturally.

These are the moments that become childhood memories. The muddy shoes, the animals, the open spaces, the freedom and the simple joy of living close to nature.
We are incredibly lucky to call Blue Saddle Ranches home.
It’s not just where we live.

What a lovely morning the Silver Saddlers,
Blue Saddle Ranches Over 60’s Social Club enjoyed at On The Avenue.

There was good coffee, delicious treats, plenty of laughter and wonderful conversations shared around the table. It was simply about taking time out, enjoying each other’s company and making a few more happy memories together.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s Conservancy Gardening Workshop.

We had a fantastic morning learning from Sean Freeman about creating edible and pollinator-friendly gardens, and how we can make our own gardens more beneficial to our local environment. 🐝🌱

We hope you enjoyed the workshop as much as we did!

And this is just the beginning… we will be hosting more Conservancy workshops throughout the year. 🌿

🐍 Our next workshop will be a Snake Talk!
An opportunity to learn more about the snakes found in our area, how to identify them, and what to do if you encounter one.

We encourage all residents to join the Blue Saddle Ranches Conservancy. Membership is just R120 per stand per year.

Your membership helps us fund initiatives and educational events like these, helping us learn, protect and appreciate the incredible natural environment around us. 💚

What a wonderful morning of laughter, friendship, good fun, and even better food!

The Silver Saddlers recently enjoyed a lovely breakfast outing at The Villagers Coffee Shop in Drumblade, where residents came together to share warm conversations, delicious meals, and fresh coffee. 💙

The Silver Saddlers are proof that community truly matters. At Blue Saddle Ranches, it’s not just about where you live, it’s about creating connections, making memories, and enjoying life together.

What an amazing initiative for our over 60’s residents to enjoy such special mornings together! 🌟
