THIS IS THE END...
So as of today Silver Bee Floral Designs is officially permanently closed.
I loved to create for a number of brides and bring them happiness on their wedding day. It was magical and wonderful to work closely with them to bring their visions to life.
I was contemplating whether or not I should write this but after much consideration I am. I think maybe it will give some brides a reality check that they need, and probably because I have nothing to lose. Some behaviour I encountered with brides was completely unacceptable.
The verbal abuse was starting to really taint what was once a positive experience. Brides are entitled to want a great service. They are entitled to the anxiety and stress that comes with a wedding. What they are not entitled to is this bridezilla behaviour which in my opinion ruined their experience more than it did mine.
I don't know how to tell you this bridezillas but a lot of you are not going to get a photo replica of your wedding. If you striving for absolute perfection and putting everyone else through hell, maybe a reality check is in order.
I don't know how to tell you this but everything is not about you. What ever happened to a wedding day being about the love you and your husband share and your family and friends being there to share it with you ?. Of course you want your dream dress, cake, flowers etc. but that doesn't give you a right to say whatever you want and treat another person like s**t. Being nice and respectful will always get you further than denigrating another human being.
Other reasons are the dried flower trend is over and I am not keen to work with fresh flowers. The whole experience has become stale for me and it has time to move on. I'm going to focus of on charity work and going back to my other creative talents such as paintings, sculptures and crafts.
Working constantly with very fine details also resulted in me having a Carpal Tunnel Syndrome operation. All the signs are there that it's time to move on.
To end on a positive note though, this has mostly been a wonderful experience and I have created my items with much love and attention to detail. Most of the brides have been rays of sunshine to work with, happy and excited about their big day. This is how it should be.
So thank you for all your support. It has been a ride. I wish you all the best.
Over and out 🌼 🌸 ✨️
