Area of Responsibility: Kloof
Date: 17 March 2026

Information was received from the Kloof CPF on wanted suspects leads to intervention through the All Good In The Hood Network.

It was regarding a white bakkie linked to a theft incident that occurred on 25 February 2026. During the incident, suspects stole items from a property by reaching over the fence. A formal case had been opened with authorities, and further investigation was supported by CCTV footage obtained from both the residence and surrounding camera networks. The suspects were also wanted in connection with another theft case in the Crestholme area, where they were positively linked through camera footage.

Analysis of the footage identified a white bakkie with distinctive features, including a black roof, black rims, and a roll bar, occupied by four suspects. The vehicle details were circulated and monitored through the security camera network.

On 17 March 2026, the vehicle was detected entering the Hillcrest area via our SNIPR camera system. Multiple response units mobilised to the location and successfully located the vehicle at a nearby shopping centre. All four suspects were found in possession of the vehicle and were detained on scene.

Our Tactical Officer noticed a vehicle parked under the M13 Winston Park off-ramp bridge and immediately stopped to check on the driver and her two children.

After learning that her car had come to a halt, possibly due to running out of petrol, he ensured they were safe while waiting for her husband.

A small act of care that makes a big difference, because your safety is always our priority.

A concerning TikTok trend has made its way into local communities, and today alone, our teams responded to two unnecessary call-outs in the Upper Highway area after children prank-called their parents claiming that intruders were on their property.

These false alarms not only cause panic and put parents under unnecessary stress and fear, but they also divert our first responders from genuine emergencies. Every minute spent on a false call could be a minute lost when someone truly needs help.

We urge all parents and guardians to have an open conversation with their children about the seriousness of these pranks. What may seem like a harmless joke online can have real-world consequences, wasting resources, spreading fear, and risking slower responses to real threats.

Let us work together to keep our communities safe, calm, and informed.
Because Protecting Generations means teaching accountability and awareness too.
