A jaw-dropping bespoke Luangwa River Sand Ring in 9K Zambian yellow gold, set with a 9.26ct Zambian mandarin garnet. A bold fiery stone paired with the raw textures of the river landscape that inspired it.

Designed and handcrafted in South Luangwa using Zambian materials and local craftsmanship.

This Luangwa River Sand Ring was handcrafted in 9K Zambian yellow gold and set with a stunning 9.26ct Zambian mandarin garnet. Using traditional sand casting techniques, we preserved the raw textures left by the Luangwa River sand, grounding the piece completely in the landscape that inspired it.

From the rough stone to the final setting, every part of this ring is rooted in Zambia. The gold, the garnet, the craftsmanship, and the process all come from here. Nothing was mass produced. Every surface carries the mark of human hands, careful making, and intentional design.

Made for Zoe.

This bespoke piece centres a 17ct Zambian Mandarin Garnet, cut in house to reveal its deep, fiery glow. Set in solid 9k Zambian yellow gold, each claw was individually shaped and placed by hand, allowing the stone to truly come alive in the light.

Crafted in South Luangwa using locally sourced materials and traditional metalsmithing techniques, from cutting the stone to the final polish, every step was done by hand with intention, patience, and care.

Big, bold, and impossible to ignore, just as a true statement should be.

3 years ago, Mwezi Blu started with a simple idea. To create something meaningful from what we have here at home.

No big plan, no guarantees. Just learning as we went.

There have been good days, tough days, and moments where we really didn’t know how things would turn out. But step by step, we kept going.

Along the way, we’ve reached milestones that once felt far away. We now cut our gemstones in house. We’ve created three fine jewellery collections, with more on the way. We’ve had the chance to design bespoke pieces that tell personal stories. We’ve opened our shop in Lusaka. And our team continues to grow, with young artisans learning and building their skills every day.

What makes this journey special isn’t just the jewellery. It’s the people behind it, and everyone who has supported us along the way.

For Junse, who grew up in Zambia and now calls Milan home, we created a bespoke piece in Zambian silver set with aquamarine, emerald, black tourmaline and mandarin garnet, all sourced from Zambia, each stone holding a quiet connection to where it all began.

Handcrafted in South Luangwa, carrying the spirit of home and the stories behind it.

Some pieces hold more than beauty they hold a lifetime of meaning.

Created for Annekim, this bespoke cluster necklace was designed as a keepsake of home, memory, and legacy. Inspired by years spent in Mfuwe, every detail was chosen with intention: a sapphire and emerald reflecting the colours of her daughters’ eyes, and a delicate diamond symbolising the parents’ guardianship, love, and protection. We honoured her wish to keep the stones rough and natural, creating a softer beauty we love.

Handcrafted in Zambian silver using our Luangwa River sand casting method, the piece carries the raw, organic texture that makes each creation uniquely Mwezi Blu, shaped by hand, rooted in place, and made using Zambian resources.

Designed to be worn now and treasured for generations to come, this is more than jewellery. It is a story of childhood, belonging, and something precious to pass on.
