Yellow calcite is known for helping with confidence, optimism, motivation, and mental clarity.

It’s the weekend and new treasures have arrived at Walford Mill.

To celebrate my new branding of The Flutterby Den a beautiful butterfly fluttering around a flower

The classic mandala heart which is always a popular choice

And a new design with a Jurassic coast feel, featuring an ammonite

All made of fine silver on sterling silver 18 inch chains. Shorter chains are available

Making silver jewellery as a hobby is expensive, making a living from it is hard.

The price of silver and gold have sky rocketed from last year. In January the price of 10g of silver clay had gone up over £6 to £26.76.
Now for the same 10g of clay it is £51.95
20g is now £ 99.95 which you can see in my hand on the video.

When you’re making jewellery as a business you need more than just the clay. You need silver wire, findings, chains, boxes and other items. As well as a host of equipment and paying for hallmarking.

Pricing is difficult as some still view silver as a cheaper metal, which it is compared to gold. However, because of the inflated price per gram it is not always so affordable.

I love what I do, seeing people fall in love with my work makes me so happy.
Keeping afloat is difficult in this climate.
My pricing is lower than it should realistically be.
But I want people to be able to enjoy a quality handcrafted piece of jewellery that is affordable for them to treasure for years to come.

I am so blessed to have return customers, and talk to people who love my work. A HUGE thank you to everyone for your support, purchases, shares and likes on social media. I will carry on with my jewellery journey and hope you and many others will follow me on it ♥️

As most of you know I love mandalas and managed to find a diary one year with one.
All year I was waiting to finish it so I could use the texture. This was the result ♥️
