We are looking for a lambing assistant to help with lambing and general stock tending on pedigree Texel sheep.

📍 Partridge Nest Farm, Stoke-on-Trent
📅 Dates: 9th February – 28th February (3 weeks)
🏠 Accommodation available

Duties include:
• Assisting with lambing
• Monitoring ewes and lambs
• General animal care and shed work

Ideal candidate:
• Previous lambing experience essential
• Reliable, practical and able to work unsupervised
• Willing to work flexible hours during lambing day and night

🏆 2025 Champion of Champions 🐑

Congratulations to Eamon Vaughan of Newcastle-under-Lyme, whose aged pedigree Texel ewe from the Partridge Nest flock took home the top honours this year!

His first time showing at Burwarton, Eamon also picked up reserve champion in the Texel section with his ram lamb, Partridge Nest Incredible. Both sheep were presented by Harley Turner. 👏 👏

Burwarton Show always welcomes newcomers – we look forward to seeing more fresh talent on our Livestock Field next year!
