If we havenāt met, Iām Ezgi, the person behind Seyyah. Two things changed everything for me this year, and yesterday, sitting in my little shop, I just felt so grateful. Let me tell you about them.
I started this brand almost eight years ago as something on the side. Now it has its own shop. I chose the name Seyyah because I wanted a life with room to wander, so opening a place that runs seven days a week felt a little at odds with that. I thought it would tie me to one place.
But then I met someone whoās taken such good care of the store. Having someone I can trust here has changed so much for me. I can step away knowing things are in good hands. This place I worried would keep me in one spot has actually given me room to move.
And then thereās Pinocchio. Peanutās brother. He came into my life this summer, and weāve been together every day since. At the shop, at home, heās right there. Watching him wake up, stretch, and come over to give me kisses is now my favorite way to start the day.
It hasnāt always felt like this. The past few years were hard. Building a life in my second country has felt lonely at times. There were plenty of days when I questioned myself and wondered if this business was going anywhere. Yesterday, I got to sit in something I once wasnāt sure would happen, with him beside me.
So this is me taking a moment to appreciate where I am. And still believing thereās more ahead. I want to share more here and give the online side of Seyyah the attention Iāve been talking about for years. āThis is the yearā has become a bit of a running joke. But I still believe in myself. And Iām grateful youāre here.
