Jewelsmith is closed for Juneteenth.

Today is a day for both celebration and reverance. A day to reflect on civil rights and equality, celebrate freedom and honor the many achievements of Black Americans.

We hope you are able to celebrate this day in a way that is significant to you.

She said, "Yes!" 💍

Congratulations Cassidy and Bobby! We love seeing our creations out in the world helping celebrate your love. Here's the message they sent us:

"We have been together since high school (9 years!) and went to college together at NC State! He brought me to the NC State Arboretum for a stroll through the flowers before popping the question! We are beyond thrilled with the ring and are so grateful to Jewelsmith for bringing our vision to life! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!"

If you have any stories you'd like to share, please send us a DM or email us at [email protected].

Part 2 is here — and it was worth the wait. ❤️🖤

Remember those intersecting circles from Patrick's bench? This is what they became.

Long-time client and ACC Network analyst Bryce Love brought Patrick a semi-black opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia, one of the most prized opal sources in the world and asked for something worthy of it. Patrick designed a rose gold pendant and pavéd around it with rubies and cognac diamonds, mapping every stone placement by hand before setting a single one.

That smile at the end? That's a man who just saw his vision come to life.

Time for a geometry lesson from Professor Patrick. 👨🏼‍🏫

Jewelry making is an art and science. While our goldsmiths often let their creativity run wild, there are also times when careful planning is necessary to create beautiful pieces.

Here our goldsmith Patrick explains how the intersecting circles can help create the perfect pattern for gorgeous pavé work. Stay tuned for Part 2 to see the incredible finished pendant!

When two gemologists watch a master gem cutter at work — this is what it looks like. 💎🔍

We showed our gemologists Katherine and Tracy behind-the-scenes footage from Steven Tyler, an incredibly talented gem cutter we've had the pleasure of working with. These two know exactly what they're looking at. Here are their reactions. 👀

Gem cutting is a very precise, high-stakes skills in the jewelry world. One wrong angle and a gemstone loses value. Get it right and something extraordinary comes to life.

Curious about loose gems? We carry a collection worth exploring. Visit our website to book an appointment. 🔗

Sweet as candy. 🍬

Deep blue with light streaks running through it, opaque, striped, and almost too saturated to be real. Nearly 30 carats of it, straight from Sri Lanka. The whole team spotted it at the Tucson Gem Show at the Misfit Diamonds booth and had the same reaction at the same time. We stalked it hard and knew we just had to pull the trigger and take it home with us.

Do you know what did Phil made with this incredible gem? If not, stay tuned for a reel coming up soon to find out more.

You could see it in person or on our website. Visit our website to make an appointment. 🔗

Quick question: what color do you picture when someone says sapphire? 💙

Because these may change your answer.

Our designer May is showing off these incredibly unique sapphires we snagged at the Tucson Gem Show. They are mossy green and reddish brown, cut thin to reveal hundreds of natural inclusions inside. Goldsmith Phil designed and handcrafted a setting that keeps them bold and wearable without adding weight. Big statement. Barely there on the ear.

Sapphires come in almost every color. These are proof.
