Archduke Maximilian (1558-1618), was appointed coadjutor and grand master of the Teutonic Order in 1585 and in 1590 Grand Master. He became governor of Tyrol in 1602. In 1603 he received the right from Emperor Rudolf II to have his image minted on every 15th Zain in Hall. After Rudolf II’s death, Archduke Karl became grand master of the Teutonic Order. Maximilian ruled in Tyrol until his death on 2nd November 1618.
