I sold my favourite one!! Twice!! 🤠 This Vessel of Life and Memory Charm Necklace features my very favourite amulet - the Tall Amphora. 🏺 I sculpted this in 2019 when I was studying a module in the History of Alcohol. 🌝 Our tutor took us for a drink at an old Bristol pub and even brought port into our seminar hehehe. Evan Jones is a legend. 🍷

I was very taken with the vessels on the pages, and started sculpting some of them, teaching myself how to slowly and carefully carve hollow vessels from hard jewellers wax. Little did I know I couldn’t mould a hollow form, and then I had to take a saw to the cast version (and let’s say my sawing skills are not great…). Every Amphora is different as I melt and seal and sculpt the two moulded halves back together. 💦

I was told that when amphorae fell out of fashion, vintage w**es weren’t produced again until the glass bottle and cork system was invented in the early modern period. Before that w**e was commonly sent in wooden barrels, and therefore it oxidised quickly.

This 9ct rolled gold watch chain features three of my hand carved and cast amulets and a very nice stash of reclaimed semi precious gemstones. A baroque beehive-esque pearl. An antique citrine cufflink. Tibetan turquoise. A vintage angel skin coral. 👀

I’m very grateful for the orders of these. They’re a real labour of love and they’re costly to produce but I do adore them. 🥰 I am winding down the Charm Necklaces at the end of the year…

Phwoaaar! 🥵 The Other Art Fair was SO good this weekend. 💥 ‼️ I thought I’d share some favourites with you, here. 🌞💫 I went to help my pal Sophie White who paints “found light” with pigment and linseed oil, 🤤 and it was an utter treat to see all of her paintings. It was a brilliant show and a joy to discover soooo many very talented artists. I acquired my first oil painting 🌝 (swipe above to see it!) and I’m so very inspired to pick up my paintbrushes this week.

Some snippets from yesterday’s The Frome Independent 💫 These recycled silver Medieval Hoops went home with the talented Ruby Scott-Geddes Ruby, this gem showed me the silver stash she’s been wearing for months since she built this with me earlier in the year, and this cherub chose a Reliquary Hand adorned with an Iridescent shell. 🐚 🖐️ ✨

A lovely person tried on this ring stack, I touched the mega Ruby Heart, and Lottie ended up taking that rectangular Treasure Ring home. 🥰

Thanks for a lovely day and so much support yesterday. I felt a bit out of sorts but you precious people were wonderful, and there were some beautiful joyful moments and so many lovely interactions.

Another busy week! 🐝 I traded at The Frome Independent yesterday. I was feeling uncharacteristically sad but Lottie Foraged Smith was a rock, my diamond, and she got me through a weird feeling day. Helen from Helen Wild had just sold out of icecream when I wandered down for a pick me up. She passed me a lil spoon and let me scrape the tubs and taste all of her delicious flavoured kefir icecream. It was so good and it shifted the grey cloud that had been lurking over me. It discovered her the day before at Windmill Hill Market | South Bristol ! 🌞 Thank you Helen. Thank you Lottie. Thank you The Frome Independent 😘

I met Lottie via Kim Make it with Kim - Jewellery Tuition who runs the Orchard Jewellery Workshop in Kingswood, Bristol. Kim taught my how to polish & solder my first castings back in 2018. 💫🫶

I bought this puppet. I love it. Thank you for making such silly magic. Wibble, Wobble & Bing Puppets 🥰 It hasn’t yet got a name but it has a very good home with me. 🦨 🍅 🥝

My darling Kit has moved out. This lil silver Treasure Ring fit her well, when she was exploring my polished rings last week, as I was frantically labelling them, ahead of popping up at the Dulwich Picture Gallery for their Makers Market. Kit has been a very special friend and she has been a super important person to me the last couple of years. Another ring for dear Kit. 😘 🥰

Choosing between two lil angel skin corals for a special necklace. We went for the lil wishbone one. 🪸 I do love these little branches.

I went into town for an exciting conversation and afterwards we went into Drizzle for coffee and these yummy lil loaves - which we shared. A treat to find a new independent business in the city - and on the Christmas Steps! 📍🍋 🍞

I went to see Senegalese singer and cora master Ablaye Cissoko and French Accordian artist Cyrille Brotto at The Jam Jar Bristol . It was spectacular and moving. 🇸🇳 🇫🇷 ✨ A great solo gig experience -

is a very good day out!! 🤠 💯 This South West market takes over the whole of Frome Town & it’s AMAZING. There are literally hundreds of small independent businesses to discover & support 🥰🤝 artists, crafters, bakers, butchers, candle stick makers, growers. There’s skin care, there’s jewellery 👀, there’s clothing, there’s even a flea market section in the car park of the ! 😎

It’s on the first Sunday of the month from March - December & open from 10am - 3pm. 🌞💫

This semi-precious hoard is on the website, and you can choose your central amulet. It doesn’t have to be a Reliquary Hand. 💭 If you want to create a personalised piece with me, you can join me at an event in person. If you’re shopping online, you can request some swaps / omissions / particular colours or stones to become part of your party. ✨ 🌈

I will stop making my Charm Necklaces at the end of this year. At least, in this current format. They’re too costly and too laborious. 🙈 Whilst they filled my creative cup for a while, I’m turning to other things. 🕊️ 💫
