Without fail, it’s the something I hear at almost every event.

Halfway through the evening, when everyone is arranging their moss and layering in the natural elements — someone always says:

“I can’t believe I made this.”

That’s exactly what High Creek Creative is built for.

Not an art class. Not an instructor lead situation. Just a relaxed, social creative gathering where you show up, make something genuinely beautiful, and leave feeling like yourself again.

Up next is the Forest Frame Creative Event — June 4th at Top Down Brewery in Sumner.

📅 Thursday, June 4
⏰ 6:30 – 8:30pm
📍 Top Down Brewery, Sumner
🎟️ $65 | All materials included | Limited seats

You don’t have to bring anyone.
You just have to show up. 🌿

These events are full of people who walked in solo and left with something they made — and usually someone they’ll see again.

No experience needed. Just curiosity and a little creative courage.

Next workshop linked in bio — or drop the word ‘MOSS’ in the comments and I’ll send you a direct link to a seat. 🤍

Turns out grown adults will happily spend an hour (playful) arguing over the perfect moss placement.

Tiny spoons were used seriously.River rocks became emotional decisions.
Sand color options and mixes were pro level.
Terrarium night was equal parts creativity, chaos, plant therapy, and accidental dirt in unpredictable places.

Our evening spent at Top Down was rockin’!

We had a full room, a big birthday crew ready to celebrate, lots of first-time workshop guests.

One of my favorite parts of the night was seeing so many men fully leaning into the creative process and knocking it out of the park.

It’s always such a treat when the energy in the room is both relaxed and electric and people hang out and linger after closing time.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out for our very first workshop at Top Down. It was so much fun, we’re coming back to do it again next month.

If you want in, grab a seat in my bio before they’re gone.

Did you know—you can bring your own elements to your event - any event?

A rock from your favorite trail.
Something tucked away in a drawer that has a story.
A pinecone from your grandma’s backyard.

The best part of these nights is what you bring to the table, not just the moss materials laid out.
Your creativity, your own style, a story.

Last night at Incline had a whole lot of that… GOOD stories, meaningful pieces, and designs that felt like little snapshots of the Pacific Northwest and the people in it.

One of a kind, every time. That’s the good stuff fo sho! 🌿

Tonight’s workshop is a special one. 🏕️

Not only are we gathering to create, connect, and unwind—Incline is also giving back in a really thoughtful way.

For every pint poured of Fuji’s Dry Apple, $1 goes directly to Washington’s National Park fund to preserve and protect Washington’s National Parks 🌲

And if you’re one of the lucky ones to join this sold out event, you’ll have the chance to write a note to a park ranger—sharing a favorite memory, a little encouragement, or a thank you for all they do.

It might seem like a simple thing, but it means a lot.
These are the spaces we love to explore, reset, and reconnect in… and the people who care for them deserve to feel that right back.

Come create, sip, and be part of something a little bigger tonight ✨🏔️

No doubt about it, it was a gorgeous evening and the Black Diamond fans showed up in the best possible way! 🤍

The conversations were flowing, pieces took shape and everyone was leaning in sharing, laughing and helping each other decide “does this go here … or here?”

By the end…
No two pieces were like and no one leaving quite the same as they when they walked in.

This one sold out fast so we added another…and then another.
Now, I’m THRILLED to be bringing these nights to all of Big Block’s locations around the Sound. 🍻

Come join the fun, you won’t regret it!

The mountain was out for us on a gorgeous spring evening at Thursday’s sold-out Moss Atelier at Post & Pour.

With warm sunshine pouring through those floor-to-ceiling windows, you could feel it right away—this was going to be one of those nights.

Co-workers unwinding, friends meeting halfway, women showing up solo… and more than a few curious onlookers wishing they had snagged a seat.

And somewhere between the moss, the laughter, and the “what should I add next?” moments…
strangers turned into something a little more familiar.

This is the good stuff. 🌿
I can’t wait to be back again for that view and the next event!

Right now the world feels a little… cattywampus.
Tacos vs. burritos, cider or beer, ‘Just one drink’ or ‘We’re closing this mother down.’

But here’s what I’ve been seeing—over and over again these past few weeks:

No matter what “side” anyone lands on… people are craving real connection.

And when it shows up—on a Friday night, around a table, with zero agenda other than have a good time—that’s where the magic lives.

I’ve watched total strangers sit down together and, within an hour, they’re laughing, swapping stories, hugging goodbye.
“I had no idea…” has probably been the most repeated phrase in the room.

It’s wild—in the best way.

Because it looks nothing like what our feeds try to convince us of.

It’s real. It’s kind. It’s human.

So here’s your reminder (and honestly, mine too):
We don’t need more sides. We need more tables.

More moments where it’s less “us vs. them” and more Red Rover, Red Rover… come on over.

Because the truth?
We’re in this together. And people—real, everyday people—are so, so good.

South Sound… thank you for showing me that every single week. 🤍
